President Prabowo Departs for UK and Switzerland Visits

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto officially began a series of working visits to the United Kingdom and Switzerland on Sunday afternoon, 18 January 2026. Departing from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, the Head of State is scheduled to attend a number of high-level meetings to foster strategic cooperation in the fields of economy and environment.

Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, confirmed the agenda in writing via the official Instagram page of the Cabinet Secretariat. In his statement, Teddy explained that London is the President's first destination to meet with the UK's top leaders.

“In London, England, President Prabowo will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss agreements on several strategic collaborations, including in the economic and maritime sectors,” he said.

In addition to the bilateral agenda with the British government, President Prabowo is also scheduled to hold a special audience at Buckingham Palace. Teddy said that the meeting would focus on global issues of concern to both countries.


Moreover, he said, “President Prabowo will hold a meeting with King Charles III, with one of the agenda items related to nature and environmental preservation, as well as elephant conservation, together with a number of other world philanthropists.”

After completing his agenda in London, the President will continue his trip to Davos, Switzerland. There, the Head of State will deliver a keynote speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF), which is planned to be attended by 61 heads of state and government, as well as more than 1,000 participants.

In addition to attending the main forum, President Prabowo will also hold strategic dialogues with CEOs from leading foreign companies to attract investment to Indonesia.
