KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian men’s national cricket team showcased its growing dominance and professionalism by sweeping Cambodia in a series of friendly matches at Bali’s Udayana Cricket Ground from December 23 to 29, 2025, winning eight matches and recording one no-result through disciplined teamwork and strategic play.
Abhiram Singh Yadav, chairman of the Indonesian Cricket Association (PCI), said the clean sweep indicates that the “Red and White” team’s standards and teamwork are beginning to solidify.
“Eight completed matches, eight victories, that’s no coincidence. It is the result of discipline, focus, and collective effort. But we don’t want to stop here. A series like this is also a chance to evaluate; small details must be continuously improved because the next challenges will be even greater,” Abhiram said in an official statement on Tuesday, December 30, as quoted by Antara.
On the final standings, Indonesia topped the table undefeated with 8 wins and 1 no-result, earning 17 points and a net run rate of +1.9059. Cambodia, by contrast, did not win any of the eight completed matches and recorded a net run rate of -1.9059.
Statistics show that Indonesia not only won matches but also maintained control, applied pressure, and minimized opportunities for the opposition to recover.
Apriliandy Abdillah led the wickets tally with 12, followed by Gede Agus Priandana with 9. In batting, Kadek Dharma Kesuma and Gede Agus Priandana consistently ranked at the top of the runs chart.
Abhiram emphasized that the goal for Indonesia is not only to achieve maximum results in every game but also to build character on the field.
“We want Indonesia to be known as a team that seriously respects its opponents, respects the game, and maintains standards from the first ball to the last. What matters is calmness, adherence to the plan, and teamwork in every situation,” Abhiram concluded. ***
