KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy is stepping up efforts to strengthen local fashion brands through the Fashion Incubation Program 2025, designed to help emerging labels sharpen their business strategies, refine collection concepts, and improve brand storytelling.
According to a press release issued in Jakarta on Tuesday, the program provides structured mentoring in business planning, fashion presentation techniques, and narrative development, aiming to boost the competitiveness of local brands in the wider industry.
“Through the Fashion Incubation Program 2025, we want to facilitate local brands so they can move up a level by strengthening their design, business concepts, and industrial competitiveness,” Romi Astuti, Director of Fashion at the Ministry of Creative Economy, said as quoted by Antara.
Participants in the program receive training and guidance from mentors, professional designers, industry players, and academics. Following the incubation process, the ministry selected 12 brands from Bali and the Greater Jakarta area (Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi) to showcase their collections at Bali Fashion Trend 2025.
The chosen labels include Ceu Kokom Ecoprint, Ghaea Home, Da’poza, Opie Ovie, Suwari Loka, Srihanna, Guts Etnik, Milioki, Etiesta, Mierto, Amod Bali, Batik Marunda, and Deden Siswanto for MYMD.
“We believe the brands featured today carry significant potential for the future of Indonesia’s creative industry,” Romi added.
The presentation of these collections at Bali Fashion Trend 2025 is expected to mark an important step for local fashion brands, helping them strengthen their position and expand their reach into broader markets. ***
