KBRN, Jakarta: In a push to complete emergency response operations before the year-end transition to reconstruction, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) confirmed on Monday, December 29, 2025, that 1,526 tons of aid have been mobilized through the Halim Perdanakusuma gateway, East Jakarta, alone.
Head of Data and Information of BNPB Center Abdul Muhari emphasized that aid for Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra is reaching victims within a 48-hour window, ensuring no supplies remain stagnant at command posts. By maintaining a distribution pace as high as 98.2% in key regions, the government is effectively clearing the logistics backlog to pave the way for the upcoming permanent rehabilitation and infrastructure rebuilding phase.
This commitment is part of a strict operational standard to prevent bottlenecks in the relief supply chain. "Our SOP (standard operating procedure) is that no incoming goods stay for more than 2x24 hours. Everything must be distributed immediately. So, our distribution rate at every command post is above 80 percent," said Abdul Muhari, Head of the BNPB Disaster Data and Information Center, during a press conference at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base on Monday, December 29, 2025, as quoted by Antara.
Abdul emphasized that this scheme ensures that assistance immediately reaches the communities that require it. For instance, the Halim Perdanakusuma Command Post in East Jakarta has already distributed 97 percent of the aid it received, totaling 1,526 tons of delivered goods.
The volume of aid handled at the main hub highlights the speed of the current mobilization efforts. "In general, logistics from the Halim Post alone in this one month have received 1,500 tons and delivered 1,526 tons, with a distribution rate percentage of 97 percent," he said.
Meanwhile, the Iskandar Muda Command Post has received a total of 1,341 tons of aid to date. Out of that total, 1,000 tons have already been successfully moved to affected residents.
The efficiency of this specific post remains high despite the challenging terrain in the region. "For Iskandar Muda, 1,341 tons have entered and 1,000 tons have been distributed, resulting in a logistics distribution rate of 80.93 percent," he explained.
Other aid posts across the region have also maintained distribution rates well above the 80 percent threshold. The Silangit Post in North Sumatra, for example, has managed to distribute 98.2 percent of its incoming supplies.
Specific data for other provinces also shows high performance in the logistics pipeline. "For North Sumatra, the Silangit Post's distribution rate is 98.2 percent, and for West Sumatra, it is 93.5 percent," he noted.
Beyond the distribution of aid, the government has carried out various disaster management efforts since the first day of the incident. These actions range from the initial evacuation of victims to the restoration of various public services.
In addition to emergency response efforts, the government is currently preparing for the rehabilitation and reconstruction phases. The ultimate goal of these preparations is to fully restore the daily activities and lives of the affected communities. ***
